Great night at the track tonight!
Great night at the track tonight!
Overall out of about 20 contestants I placed third! I know its not first, but I was stoked!
I also got my VERY best time EVER! Last year My best was a 16.3 with a 2.3 60' This year..

This is the time slip from my 5th run
I was so happy! my goal for this year was to break into the 15's.. Didn't think i would do it first run!
Here are the pics on my time slips in order

The first two were the time trial/ practice runs. the third one was against a hid in an older honda accord

This firs one, I got a great light on and knocked out last years points champion. Since I got such a good light, I got the buy/free run on the next round.
Then on my very last run, I broke out by .008 of a second! Oh well it was fun!

i know how that goes. we have a little "dial in challenge" during our TNT's. just like bracket racing just with no additional fee and its not for points, cash, etc. i had taken out a '03/'04 cobra. new stang gt, and a 5.7L hemi magnum. went up against a 60's cuda with a 9.83 dial in and i know it runs in super pro cause i've seen it race. she hits .040 lights all day. so i new i had to get her right off the tree....broke out by .015
^^^ i dont even know what that is! ive never been to the track *tear* i dont even know how the system works like when u get there lol..
nice times tho... whats the diff between dial and 1/4?

Yeah, I honestly thought about it, But I didn't have a marker. My buddy that had it left as soon as he got knocked out.. Oh well shoulda coulda woulda!
Tyler, 'm happy to hear about this. Did you strip down your car like you did when you hit the 16.3? I'm glad to hear that you beat Jeremy Budd. In 2 years of racing I was never able to beat him. Keep it up all season long and you'll take home the big prize. 15's in Salt Lake for a LT is awesome considering the altitude.
As for the person that said you should have been running faster as the night came in, normally I would agree. However, having raced for 2 seasons at the track where this accomplishmanet happened, for some reason it is the exact opposite. Nobody seems to have an explanation of why. The fastest time I ran out there is in my sig. It was my first time trial of that day. As the air cooled and the sun disappeared I got about .3-.4 slower. My speculation for this is during the day the wind blows up the mountain slopes. When the sun goes down it is the exact opposite. This is best seen when watching a mountainside burn in a forest fire. By day it goes up the hill. At night it goes down. I can only speculate, but I wonder if it is blowing less dense air to lower altitudes.
