hit the old 1320 the other day.

well me and my buddy went on a cruise with one of my local car clubs im in that started at a local restaraunt and ended with an event at gateway motorsports park. we took my buddies car because my stock clutch is slipping bad when i race unless granny shift and then its still a battle. well when we went he diddnt even plan on racing so we diddnt clean out his car very well. when we got there after about 25 mins me and him both couldnt take it any more so we decided to pay the extra 15 and race his car. when we got to tech he pops his trunck to get some pants out for me to wear since i was gunna race his car and when they saw it was full to the brim they said we had to take it all out. now we just wanted to race for fun not trying to get great times he just drives a stock 2007 audi a4 2.0t quattro. he a part time emt so he had all his emt gear and he wasnt about to take it out and leave it in the parking lot or try lugging it all around. so we said **** it and drove 45 mins back to my house and got my car just for kicks since we already paid and wanted to race. i ended up getting 11 runs in and my main goal was to work on my 60ft time on street tires and my overall reaction time knowing my 1/4 times wouldnt be so hot. after the first few terrible runs(pic below)

the second slip is a race with my buddies mazdaspeed 3. my clutch started slipping terrible at the end so i let out and thats why i trapped 94mph and only ran a 15.029. heres the vid

after that i let the car sit for about 10-15 mins and clocked off a 1.8 at 101 still battling the clutch and not improving on my reaction or 60ft. (btw all these first runs were with not burnout or a little skirt to get the water off) then my buddy jumped in with me and i decided to start doing burnout to se if it would help which it did as you will come to see which i was surpired considering i was always told burnout on street tires at the track hurts not helps. first run i got a good reaction time at .110 but had some major clutch slipping down the track so had to let out again before beams and clocked a 15.2 at 86mph lol. second run he shot video and i had a better burnout which showed in my 60ft as i had been cutting 2.4 and 2.5 till then and i cut a 2.3 60ft but had to let out going into 2nd a bit due to the clutch which cost me but i still clocked a 14.9 at 98mph. heres the in car vid. btw the rattling around is the change in my center console lol.

heres the time slips from those three runs.

after that i got to line up with my buddy dan again in his mazdaspeed 3 and i was feeling pretty good after starting to dial in my 60 ft and reaction time. we switch lanes and i left him at the lights cutting a .080 reaction time and a 2.3 60 ft. i had some clutch slipping at down the track and had to granny shift so he started to catch me but once i was able to mash the throttle again i started to pull again and still beat him the beams cutting a 14.4 at 101.91. he still cut a faster time then me at 14.05 slept at the light with a .493 reaction time. heres the vid.

next race i ran a turbo diesel f350 and when he was brake busting he jumped by mistake which caused me to jumped a little early as well lol. heres that vid.

after that i was racing by myself the rest of the night as everyone was getting tired so i made 4 back to back passes in under 20 mins lol. heres the slips from the two races in the video and the first race bymself.

in my last two races i cut my best number of the night. my second to last race i cut my fastest trap at 102.85 with a 14.4 in the 1/4. My last race i got my best 60ft and best 1/4 tim and a good reaction time with a .154 reaction time, 2.2 60ft and 14.2 in the 1/4 at 102.78. after that i tried lining back up but they sent me packing as it closed at 10 and i mad my last two runs at 9:58 and 10:02 lol. overall i ended up having a great time and accomplished my goal of bettering my 60ft times and reaction time. btw hears my last race which as u can hear was the last race of the night lol.

Saturn Ion final run 7/21/12 - YouTube

and heres the run right before my last run which was pretty badass between a new 5.0 mustang and zl1 camaro. mustang beat the camaro to the beams since the camaro slept at the line but the zl1 ran the faster time.

Don't worry about reaction time. That does not count in your 1/4 time. Reaction times matter if its a race against someone. Get that 60' down to 2.1 or so and you'll be hitting 13's in the 1/4

Looks like you had a blast. For being on E85 your trap seems really low though. I trapped 7mph faster than that on stock blower and E85. Just for reference on stock blower and E85 on a 2.7 on street tires with a 2.25 60' I ran a 13.6 @109.7mph. My clutch was still in good condition though lol
