I just.................

Took out my rear seats for the track tomorrow its my first time ever going to the track and I have never really launched this or any stick car before. Let me hear all the advice!! Btw it took about 10 min to remove the seats, very simple to do and I might be keeping them out seein how I have never had anyone sit back there yet and the sub sounds a lot better also trunk is stripped down too but I left the sub cuz I don't feel like dealing with that.

Take out the Spare tire and jack.... that'll help even more! + Go with like 1/4 tank of gas, maybe less if ya can.

Trunk is stripped lol that meant the spare and everything is already out sorry bout not making that clear, and the track is about 30-45 min away so we will see about the gas.
Also the gf is riding with me so I can't take out the passanger seat

The launch is the most important part, take it easy and you'll do fine.

I'll give you a few pointers:

Leave when the yellow light just before the green illuminates. But you may ask, HOW do I launch this thing?
Best way i've found is rev to 2k and release the clutch while giving more gas. Don't drop it, and don't slip it. Just let it out. Try not to spin the tires, if you are spinning/hopping then you are giving it too much gas and/or letting the clutch out too fast. Make sure before you launch that the clutch is at the point just before it engages, do NOT hold it on the floor! Once you have the clutch out all the way ease the car into WOT. Shift to 2nd. 3rd. End of run.
I cut a 2.3 60' and a 14.4@100 in full street trim with almost a full tank of gas using the above methods. All I have is airbox mod and a catback. I could have probably cut a 14.2 if I launched harder. Once you get the launch out of the way the rest of the run is cake. And DONT shift into 4th.

Oh yeah, dropping the PSI of the tires helps as well. You can run the max pressure in the back and like 18 or so up front. I ran 35 in both.. lol.

Thanks chris! I've got long ass gears due to hptuners lol so I know I won't be going into 4th... also where would u reccommend shifting into second? Like rmp wise?? Like I said I've never raced from a dead stop and this is my first manual car I've ever owned/driven.
I've had it for 8 months now so I am a good driver with it just never launched lol

As high as possible. I took mine to 7000-7200ish. Shift to 3rd at 6500. If you have stage 2 you can shift to 3rd at 7000.

take a 15mm socket and ratchet with you for the passenger seat, it takes 5 seconds to take out. edit: just noticed you are running a 40 series, you need to ditch that thing ASAP, those things do not flow like most the **** on the market, i used to run one
