i went to the track

ive got a base model sedan 5 speed with a intake...

.904 rt
2.4 60 foot
6.64 330 foot
10.1 1/8th 69.96mph
15.7 1/4 88.97 mph


i had a couple of other runs ranging from the 15.7-a 15.8 the stock tires have got to go lol...in a couple of weeks im going to a sticker tire and going to a 215/60 from the 195/60

oh during all the runs i did i left everything in the car and was running with a half tank of gas oh also i will have a video ready of the 15.7 or one of my 15.8's by the end of the day if someone wants to see it

Congratulations! I ran a 15.9 in my 2.4 with a full tank of 87.......i will be expreimenting this upcoming track season

nice times!

I'd rethink your tire swap though.

If you leave the aspect ratio the same 195/60 to a 215/60 you will actaully raise your car and have real tall, ugly sidewall and throwout your speedo

215/50 would be better

good i kept seeing 16 and up times from the 2.2 i was getting worried, but now this post makes me happier , generally a coupe will see slightly better times also

yea the coupe with a good driver should see better times and due to the fact that the coupe is actually shorter as far as car height than the sedan as well.

16 and up times in any cobalt are people that don't know how to drive worth a ****... even the base model is better than 16's

maybe a 5 speed but I doubt an auto could break 15's

I think you'll burn up your clutch if you're trying to start in 3rd on a race.

low 15's on a base with an intake and exhaust?? I just dont see it... maybe low 16's at best. If its true then wow, im impressed!

the cobalt is a nice car, my friend raced me at the strip when i had my auto gt-s with intake rims and exhaust , and he had an auto 2.2 ls cobalt stock and literally put like 6 car lenghs on me, these cars are a good platform
