There is hope my brother

Yes I do, and thank you
Now that I know my shiny new axles can handle it, I just hafta find out what my clutch can handle til I upgrade
IROC R/T You are right, DR's or slicks are the way to go on this car for sure.
But as was stated stock axles won't hang with them. **** mine couldn't even hang with a stock clutch and street tires. Driveshaft Shop replacements FTW

I guess I did not know how weak these axles were until I read the info at the driveshaft shop. They say they are barely good enough to handle stock power. They offer a unit that handles 400WHP for $800. http://www.driveshaftshop.com/item168957.ctlg

and, How To Install Them
and, ENUFPWR's pics of how weak our stockers are

On the bright side that trap speed should keep you smiling.

^^^Yeah, but there are j-body guys running the F23 transmission who are well into the 11's
And our F35 is allegedly a stronger trans, so with clutch and axles, we should be ok for a while. I hope, lol

I only say that though because getting a 2.0 - 2.1 60ft is like an ace up your sleve when trying to get good track times on fwd cars like ours. its kinda like if you had a 2.3 60 your ET would make more sense, shity start car pulled it out int he end with the nice trap. but good 60ft's with sub avg E'ts might be something else to lookinto...... Granted things like elevation, weather, track temps and a million other factors have to be taken into concideration. if your car is running fine which it looks like try icing your supercharger down between runs and at this time of year do aternoon-night runs when the air and track temps drop. got me back .2 tenths back when i was stock.

see what im saying though. with a 2.160ft like that i should be more than 2 tenths behind you by the 8th and only 3ths by the quarter. you track or elevation or tune is getting you. Than again this is all point less since it was differnt tracks differnt days differnt everything. this is more for the starter of this thread mostly though. i gotta go home and find my slip im at work right now so i can't get the 330ft and 1000ft times which is really more what i wanted to compare since i lost my tranny before the end of the track
