I my friend just got a mustang gt
We are gonna go to the track soon but I want to know who you guys think will win? (I'm stock)
His mods are:
4.10 gears
Flowmaster catback
K&N cold air intake
75mm throttle body with plenum
Tune on 91 octane

not really, a 2v mustang isnt exactly a fast car. with those bolt on's it probably makes 230-240whp if he is lucky. The biggest thing he has going is those 4.10's, but if he doesnt have the right tires he is just gonna spin.

I imagine the GT will get him off the line and he will be extremely close to catching back up at the 1/4th mile

 

idk that thing is pretty fast lol. I've been on the car with him at WOT it def has that neck snapping factor that my car lacks lol

Also it doesn't slide around at all

 

thats tq, but the 2v doesnt have a good top end. Once you get out of the 1/8th you'll start to catch up.

As for mods, just read around, i dont know the S/C very well, but im guessing a good spot to start would be the stage 2 kit, smaller pully, intake, tune.

 

Stage 2 you definitely would have a better chance

 

What is a stage 2 kit?

I think the gears have him top out at like 112-115 in 4th gear

 

4.10 gears are going to kill him in the 1/4. He should be in 3rd nearing red line at the finish line.

 

4.10's are the only thing helping that car. The rest of those mods arn't really anything at all. Even if he tosses an O/R Xpipe on there, he'd be lucky to touch mid 13's. He could probably step up to 4.56's and still be fine.

 

Do some research.

 

all yall need to stop asking whos gonna win and just run. dont be scared to lose. ive ran my almost stock, except for header back exhaust, vs many cars. ya win some ya lose some. hopefully next season ill be more competitive ;-)

Put a 2.8" pulley on that thing and call it a day

 

A stock SS/SC will lose against a 2V Mustang. Why? Most people can't launch the car well.
