I'm not gonna knock anyone on their first time. At least you had the guts to get out there and do it!

You're running a LS/LT I'm imagining... stick or auto?

Hell yeah. Going to the track and trying it is the hard part. But it seems once you do it, your hooked. Its like a Drug "Must Go Racing, Must Go Faster"

Hi mhump428 -

Good numbers for your first time out (based on caparison with more experienced drivers in the same car that post on here).

Drag racing is much more an art than it looks like from the grandstands - there is a lot to a great number that is not evident by watching.

I have freinds who chart launch RPM, tire pressures, shift RPM etc to determine the exact best technique for a given car.

The very first time I took my Z06 to a drag strip, I was running 13.1's and my friends reacted in much the same way the fellows here reacted. It just takes time an many passes.

It's a load of fun, isn't it?

best regards -

mqqn

you actually have the trap speed to run a high 15 with a good 60ft. Your 60ft. was horrible so I'm gonna assume that you did not slip the clutch, you probably just dropped it. but practice makes perfect, so get out there and practice and learn to launch your car and you will see drastic improvement.
