What's everyone launching at btw? I was using launch control all night with not much luck, I would bog. I'm gonna go back and try with out launch control, I would like to hit a 12.99. I believe it's possible with a better 60ft.

I launch with my foot to the floor. 7,500 I believe. Then rev it out to 8200 in each gear. I'm not sure the exact launch rpm but I know it's not 8. Something with the neutral rev limiter only being able to go so high but in gear I can take it to 8200.
If you're bogging launch higher, get a little bit of wheel spin and keep the wheel speed up. If it catches traction shift at your regular rpm. If it doesn't then it'll hit the limiter once or twice, wait for the wheel speed to catch up so you know what rpm you're actually at and then shift.
Similar to this. It isn't the greatest example but it's a decent example of if you're spinning and shift when the tach reaches your normal rpm to shift, you'll actually be shifting much lower since your wheel speed won't be up.

Just dumping the clutch in first spinning straight to the limiter and blasting through it, yes that's a bad thing. That's what 2nd gear burnouts are for. To avoid popping off rockers and breaking lifters.
I'm also talking about launching on tires other than street tires.
