New personal best

Took my 07 SS/NA to the track.

Ran a 15.3 @ 92mph. My mods are K&N intake, LSJ downpipe and magnaflow muffler.

stock my best was a 15.66 @ 88. I can easily do a 15.1 once i get my 60 foot down. It was only 7 degrees outside so the track just didnt have any grip. Couldnt get better then a 2.3.

Lookin at the time sheets my best overall run for E.T was 15.32 @ 91.6 mph and my best trap was a 15.33 @ 92.4 mph

R/T .461
60' 2.383
330 6.528
1/8 9.950
MPH 71.09
1000 12.871
1/4 15.325
MPH 91.63

What's 60'? Auto or manual? If manual you should be able to muster out a 14.9 or 15.0. If its auto, then nice!

Well they closed down early. I was about go, just one car ahead of me, broke his tranny, so they had to clean up and by the time they did, they shut down because it was too cold. Sat there in my car for 30 min just to not get that last run in lol.

I was very happy with how consistant it was. My first 3 runs were 15.34, 15.32 and a 15.33. My fourth run was a 15.5 because it really didnt hook up that one lol.

its amazing what they do with such little motors now. I had guys coming up driving camaros and other V8's saying they were impressed what my little 4 banger can do with no power adders.

Still the confusing as to why it says SS when its not supercharged but whatever, good conversation starter lol.

thats really good...let it warm up and with a good set of sticky tires and you could see 15 flat based on the number's

That is an awesome time!!

The guy whom I know that has the best local 2.4SS et pulled something around 15.7;

what elevation is your track at?

If you post up track information, and the date I might be able to check for DA correction to compare your run to my Grand Am's best - something I'm very interested to see...

I'd love to get my Grand Am to a lower elevation track... and I'm in no rush to bring the Cobalt to the track...

Just to bring back the thread to compare the times of my old car to my new truck. Truck ran 15.2 @ 92.9 mph. Truck weighed 5805 on the scale at the truck with me in it and some work stuff. Wasnt planning to race. Truck has a magnaflow muffler only.

Still at the track, only done 2 runs so far
