New STOCK PULLEY RECORD!!!! AND PB!

Went to the 1/8th mile. Set a new record on stock pulley and a new Personal Best. Ran a 8.7@80mph! 2.009 60ft. I launched at 5200rpms on that launch. The track was biting hard! I don't know what else I can do with the car as it sits to cut that 60ft any lower. I need drag bags for sure to get any better out of the hole. Vids coming soon.

all runs in sequence were:

9.0@79.6mph /2.1 60ft. (3K rpms launches, 21psi in the tires)
8.92@80mph /2.08 60ft.
8.81@79.92mph /2.02 60ft.
8.91@79.9mph /2.07 60ft.
8.981@79.12mph /2.212 60ft. (first launch at 5200rpms, 21psi in the slicks, too much air)
8.76@80.2mph /2.009 60ft. (new record! launched at 5200rpms, 18psi in the tires)
8.89@80.15 /2.08 60ft. (clutch said I'm done with launching at 5200rpms)

Previous best was 8.8@80mph with 2.0 60ft. in the 1/8th at KCIR which is lower altitude.

9.0 run, 3K rpm launch

8.9 run against 60trim ser spec v

8.8 run

8.9 run

another 8.9 run

the new record setting 8.7 run (freeze frame the launch and check out the squat!)

8.8 run, 6200rpm launch, clutch was done for the day.

Nice man , you got that thing running well . The fastest Ive been able to get out of the 1/8 is 8.84@81 . Have you ever tried just leaving off idle ...I assume with the slicks though it may want to bog pretty good .

yea, it bogs really hard when launching at 3K rpms, I'd imagine that idle would be horrible. The 5200rpm launches are still bogging a little. Hence still a 2.0 60ft. Next time I'm gonna try a 6Krpm launch. I'm gonna get drag bags as well. I need to go ahead and throw an intake, header and downpipe on it. I'd bet it would trap 84/85 then and run low 8's.

more vids coming.

Sti's that were running real slow. 10.5's.
My buds cobalt ss with too many problems.
Another friend in a srt4 that broke a engine mount and developed an oil leak.
There were even vettes running 9.2's @77mph. lol.

was definitely a good night for the stock pullied beast!

I honestly think they are a bit too tall. I bet if I got the Hoosier 24" slicks, I'd run better times.

More vids added.

keep in mind, I don't spin when I hit 2nd either. That also has a lot to do with it.

I wanted a 1.8 real bad. But I just couldn't pull it. I'll be a 1.9 will happen if I launch at 6K, but not so late in the evening after so many runs. lol.

Well, they prepped the track here really good tonight. I was super impressed! I only wish I made a little more power, cuz I think that it would 60ft. better with a little more power. I'm strongly considering a 2 step now so that I can just load it up like a stall and launch retarded hard.

more vids, including 8.7 run. Check out the squat on the launch. Freeze frame it.

all vids uploaded!

axles are perfectly fine. I find it funny that everone told me I'd break my axles. I've just BARELY wheel hopped when I first bought the car and went to the track. After that, I did the DIY mounts, and now slicks. NO WHEEL HOP AT ALL. Just grip and go. If anything gives, the clutch does. Not bad, but enough to slip a little. Even when the clutch slipped, I ran 8.8 and 8.9

damn straight! Especially considering How hard I got to launching at the end of the night. No breakage, no wheel hop.

Now my buds srt4, 1 run, bad wheel hop, destroyed mount, and cracked trans.

it only slipped when I hot lapped it once, and then on that last run. These clutches really can take a **** load of abuse. I know.
