So I went back to the track tonight for the second time with my stock SS. My first two runs were right after I had driven two hours there and my car was EXTREMELY HOT(223 degs in the staging lanes)!! I ran two back to back 15.0s, one at 96 and one at 97. I was pissed so I parked my car. About an hour later my friends say that lil black SS just ran a 14.7. I got even MORE PISSED. So I jump in my car, push it all the way up to the 4th car back from the tree(so it would stay cool), and my car was at 150deg when I ran. Came out the hole at about 2k rpms, wheel hopping like a bitch, hit second, powershift into third and held into it til the end. My timeslip goes like this:

I think on a cooler night and with a better 60 I can get 14.3-4s. Anyway just wanted to post it. Launching this car and keeping it cool is the KEY to running well. BTW I ran a 14.8 my first time at the track

 

Nice driving! 150 deg is nice and cool. I usually am about 170-180.
