Island dragway opens on sunday March 5th. I am probly going to go, and i want to know if any cobalts want to meet up.

 

where is this "island dragway". never heard of it before....if its close enuf or if im bored, ill take a trip there. im on Long island, btw.

this is good. a lil far away but heck I will prob make the trip just to run my car unless i have work. I would probably get in there as they open too so I get teh whole day out of it.

 

You can usually get more runs than you do at E-town.

 

jus mapquested it. 2hrs 20 mins. holy shiznit. i will have to see how willing i am to drive that day.

sad as it is...ive never been to a track. what do i need to bring if i decide to go? just a helmet, jeans, and a long sleeve shirt? no gloves or anything right? and ofcourse, some cash

 

Just make sure that you have pants on and some money. If you don't have a helmet they will rent you one.

 

do you plan on going as early as possible? im going to try hard to get there...i might not make any runs but ill see if i can get some free time.

 

I am probly going to be there from open to close.

naa man, not at all. U get there at OPEn, you'll go threw inspec, and be in! like 15-20 min no 1 up there ever gets there at open! then again, never been there on the 1st day


n e 1 in LI, i wouldn't even really consider this, i'm 2 min from the GWB, and its like an hr drive from there.....

 

$40.......where are you getting that from....on a normal drag night wednesday/friday it ranges from $26 on wednesday and $20 on friday....we got 7 runs in the first wednesday it was open and 9 in that friday...last year

 

yeah but I think it is $40 cause they calling it "Test and Tune" vs. Time Trials.

oh he was talking about saturday and sunday.....i never go on those days.....unless it for a show or something.....keep it to wednesdays and fridays. also....the cobalt meet is this saturday so it's not even a thought in my mind about going to e-town
