Yeah i know it is 50 miles from me. There is no track in LI so they have to come to E-town or island.

Man i hate that place i rather try and go to atco or e-town. I can never find traction there.

 

I'd go, but my ****** clutch will not hold a hard 1st to 2nd shift at times! Sucks to cause I just ordered GM stage 1 which the guy called me today to tell me GM informed him that the kits will be sent to them next week.

Bump for darksuns post, i went there with my srt and same trap speed as englishtown (97 when i was stock) but different et, i went 14.3 at etown and 14.8 was the best i could manage? Wierd track, not to mention the right lane is freakin rutted, you can actually see the bumps in the pavement if you look closely.

 

well alex and everybody...i just called island dragway for ***** and giggles. i asked them about racing with me having a restricted license. bad news, not allowed to run! bah!! that sucks. i was looking foward to running my car but oh well, right? i still plan to go but i guess ill just be a spectator.

 

Try to run your car and see if you can get away with it. If they say you can't just play dumb.

 

i dont understand why you couldnt run. they let the juniors run and most dont have licenses. o well. definately trying to go but 2.5hrs to get there WHOA. and i have to be in coram by 6 that night.

I just can't do it. I reallly hate island dragway. That crap is not FWD friendly. Comon alex you've seen what that place does do fwd cars. Look at psichick didn't see run only 12's there when she's been in the 11's with the same setup at e-town.

 

She never even hit 11's anywhere. Her best time EVER is a 12.45 @ 113.
I am not going there to get an amazing time. I just want to pratice and island is the place to do it, you get more runs for less money, plus if i can get good at island i will kick ass at E-town.
