Your short time is in need of work. Even getting a so-so 2.3 would have put you into the 13's.

With a Tune and DP you are putting down a significant amount of power than you were before, probably leading to some traction issues that you didn't face before. Everyone has a crappy night every now and then. I wouldn't beat myself up over it too much...

How much warmer out is it over there than it was when you did your last 1/4 mile??? Depending on the year of Z28, you beating him suggests that your car is doing fine, just your times aren't great...

Y[ou need to concentrate on getting that 60' time down. IDK what you are launching at, but I usually launch about 3300, and I get 2.1 60's. The general rule of thumb is 1/10th off the 60' is about 2/10ths off at the end of the track. So, your car has a 13.1 run in it.

I am also wondering if Vince takes all the torque management out of first gear... This is the main reason I went with HPT over Trifecta.

Are you using the no lift shift? I ran 4 times on my Trifecta tune,my only mod,13.8,13.8,13.6,13.4,guess which one I no lift shifted? The problem with this car,is that in between shifts it falls out of boost terribly.Looking at your times, even with the crappy 60' time you should have hit the same as me
.you are giving up all of your time in the middle of the runs.

I disagree. He gave up all his time in the 60'. Like i said, generally 1/10th in the 60' is 2/10ths at the end of the track. He can easily knock 6/10ths off his E/T just by getting a better launch. His trap SPEEDS would be suffering if he did not NLS, but his time is simply because his 60'. His speeds are about par for that E/T though. IMO... trifecta is a weak tune. I got identical times to him with a very basic HP tune, which leads me to believe Trifecta is a very basic tune... nothing against Vince, I think he is knowledgeable as hell, and I know there are alot of satisfied customers, but for performance, I know a canned tune (yes it still is no matter what any one says about it being custom written) is not as good as custom.

Were you NLS'ing? What were you launching at? Spinning first or not?

I was spinning allll through first gear on my best run and NLS from 2-3.

I launched at 3000rpms apx.

Featured it. Still on stock tires.

The first runs were done when it was like 90 degrees outside and the last and final run was done 2 hours later when the sun went down and it got really cool.

I am in church right now buy off the top of my head, 60's where horrible all night! :-(

2.8
2.6
2.4

Every run I got better. But there was so many people there. Like an NHRA event or whatever they r called. So I was a bit nervous at first.

No boost limit is the way to go IMO. If you are spinning first, keep your foot on it, let the car catch up with the tach. I mean... of course if you are SMOKING first, let off, or if you are wheel hopping, let off (one wheel hop is all it took to snap my CV joint).

My tune has 0% tq management in 1st, and full boost in 1st. My best 60' is a about a 2.15 on the stock tires, which, btw are crap. If you are dropping the clutch, knock it off. If you are feathering out too long you will also get a crap ton of spin. A quick feather, nearly a drop, is what works best for me.

That 60ft time is killing et and mph. My car is stock with an hp tune (at 20psi) and i've managed a 13.4 at 107.4 wtih a lousy 2.28 60ft in 85 degree weather...i'm sure your car is making a decent amount more horsepower than mine. Does your dragstrip prep the track at all? Are you crossing the line in 3rd or 4th? I'd launch at around 2000rpm and ease into alittle.

Are you using NLS? I really don't recommend doing so on a tuned car...you're probably making 50whp and 80wtq more than stock and the trans will suffer.

 how many threads do I need to come in and say, "Don't NLS with a tune!!!"

There is too much freaking torque that the tranny can't handle when NLSing in that RPM range.

Do as you will, just remember it'll cost you $3,500.
