Paper Racing: Pontiac G5 vs. Pontiac G6 GTP Vert

So me and a friend are thinking about running our cars against each other...purely for the fun of it and friendly competition, so please don't turn this thread into a shitfest

Anyway, my car is a pontiac g5/pursuit...his is a g6 gtp convertible.

When we do race, my mods will be:

injen intake
zzp header/dp
LSJ catback
b&m shiftplus
trifecta tune
lowered
performance tires
auto transmission

His mods will be:

intake
catback
tune
stock tires
auto transmission with the manual override sportshift thing

Things to consider, my stock BHP was 145 compared to his 227. His g6 weighs 1000 pounds more then the g5.

I suspect that I will lose by half a second or more easy. Opinions?

you're a 2.2?

you'd get left in the dust... half a second seems generous

It's your impression that the G6 is close to 4,000 pounds? If that's true, I'd no idea they were that porky

joeworkstoohard: stock to stock times from what I could find were 15.7 compared to low-mid 16's for mine.

Ecoboost: the convertible is 3900 pounds. non vert gtp is 500 pounds less

i hear you, but i know for a fact how well, those 3.9s respond to a good tune, same with the trans behind them. they get a LOT faster at that point.
