Quaker city raceway
Went to the track for the first time this weekend. My car is a stock 08 TC. They were being pretty slow at running the cars through so I only got 2 passes. This is my first car... I have always had Suvs or trucks. So going to the track with this was all new to me. My second pass was slower cause i spun off the line. Got a 14.5 at 100mph. My first run I got this.
R/T 1.036
60' 2.206
330- 6.091
didnt give me the 1/8 for some reason
1000 - 11.770
1/4 - 14.072
mph - 100.14
I felt pretty good about both runs. I was worried that I would totally F up. It went better then I thought. lol
There was 3 other SC's and 1 other TC.
There was a nice blue SC and Red TC with Black stock wheels and some aftermarket decals on the side... hahn and other stuff. Looked like I have seen them both on Cobaltss.net but I dont know 4 sure. If so did you guys run?

yeah man whenever u want to go get ahold of me... and 42 is in lodi... its north of ashland... about an hour from us... there was like 5 of us from css.net that went over there...
schaeffer, did you not have traction at 42 because of, power, shitty tires, or was it the track? reason i ask is ive been wanting to go there but didnt want to waste my time and money by spinning all the way up the track. i went to quaker and the track hooked great but i dont want to go back there since that track goes uphill at the 1000' mark
There is no difference between quaker and 42, I was there friday and i had no traction either. I think it was the track cuz ive never spun my tires like that before. Plus I wasnt tuned either so who knows what I was pushing boost wise in 1st.
so theres no difference between quaker and 42, but youve never spun like that before........ that dont make sense
when i was at quaker i got there a little late and decided to watch for a few to see how the track was. the very first pass was a RWD diesel and a ss/tc. both spun bad. and every car after that spun. while i was pulling up to the water box my friend texts me and says, "dude EVERBODY is spinning. i lanched at 3000 and had very small amount of spin. so idk why nobody could hook and i was doing 2.2 60' my first time in my stock ss/sc.
and to hell with quaker. my dad recorded my runs and right at the 1000' the track goes up hill. now idk how much it affects runs, but i trapped under 95mph every run. i might have squeeked a 96mph in there. but to me that seems a tad low. i really want to make it to a flat track to see if it did make a difference in my time. but theres no point in that if i go and spin.
and to the OP. good runs. def look forward to seeing some more balts this summer at tracks

well i trap around 104-106 at quaker...the best I did at 42 was a 102. people say 42 is a lil better then quaker but personally i think there both kinda crappy. but I would rather go to quaker then 42, simply cuz its closer and u grip a lil better. At 42 I was untuned and spun like crazy running a 14.02, at quaker I was tuned running 13.74 and chirped the tires offf the line.
Now if u go to Norwalk now ull get somne real times there...My gf bro in law races pro at quaker and Norwalk and he said his car runs about 3/10ths faster at Norwalk. And thats what everyone tells me, that Norwalk is around 3/10ths faster, give or take.

isnt norwalk "the fastest track in america"? ive heard that before i think. since its supose to be nice as hell this weekend im thinking bout 42 or norwalk. im only 30 min away from 42 so thats a big plus. anywho, if anyone goes this weekend feel free to PM me. ill prob show up. ill put something in the regional as well
honestly i think it was partially the track that night.. though i was trapping around 104... my best being 105.
and between 42 and quaker you will run faster at 42 being quaker has the bump at the 1000' mark if you have dr's or slicks, and cory i think it was just me and you having problems with traction... not alot of other people spun...

Ya I dont know what was up with that, Ive never spun like that with the tires I have on. I think its just to early in the year and the track isnt completely ready yet. And they said something about having a water problem on the track, I didnt know what was up with that.
Ya if I could get the traction I would have been around a 13.8-13.7 easily. And thats untuned on just a safe driveable tune, just imagine what I can run with a full out tune. Saturday cant caom any faster!
that pisses me off but is awesome at the same time. if quaker runs .2 slower i woulda ran a 14.2 with a cai. im so tempted to take it off so i can get on the top 10 stock lsj. need to go to norwalk, from what i hear thats one of the best tracks to go to
norwalk is defentially a really nice track to go to, their track prep is professional compared to quaker that kinda half ass it. I absoutly love Quaker City Raceway so I'm not down grading that track at all, it will always be a home track for me, I wish they would level it out after the 1/8th all the down and it would be amazing after that.
Don, dont worry. you're car is safe. maybe this weekend I will get to look at that DTC causing the CEL. It still should be running good.
I know quaker is slow as **** but its close and the facilities are nice. atleast quaker doesnt have a damn dirt/gravel road leading in to the place...
EVERYONE had traction issues last friday at 42. some of you remember me backing up and makin the starter go swab my lane because there was VISIBLE water on the fkn track. I was spinning through 2nd gear. only running 14.4 @ 101 because i was on a 3.1" pulley sucks ass
Eff being broke. I needa do moar t00nz LOL.
We def need to do a dyno day. someone over there set it up and let us know when. maybe start a thread discussing possible dates, times, prices, sign up list, etc.
I can't make it to quaker on the 1st if i go to the meet in c-bus. We will be racing at national trails or something down there.
