Ran 08 Turbo SS at Thompson this weekend....
Well, went to the Chevy vs. Ford event at Thompson Raceway yesterday and ran the 08 SS Turbo for the first time, slip looks like this.
Reaction: .1731
60 foot : 2.1636
330 foot: 6.1901
ET@594ft: 8.7934
1/8th ET: 9.3846
1/8th mph: 76.11
1000 ft: 12.1075
1/4 ET: 14.3518
14 MPH: 100.31
This car is an absolute bitch going from 2nd to 3rd gear, I just coudnt seem to get this damn thing to shift smoothly.
I'm starting to wonder if the no lift shift even works as advertised, I get the pop going from1st to 2nd, but it just wont ingage as quickley or smoothly going to 3rd.
I was missing shifts all day.
Atleast I'm only off the advertised 14.2 by a hair, my bud ran his Supercharged SS and was hitting 13.85 all day long, granted he is running a stage 2, full exhaust, CAI and a tune.
I'll be calling Hahn in the very near future, I've only been driving stick for two years so I'll hope to get better, any tips guys?

bad ass 60ft time,
Im stock and i just cant seem to get the 60ft down right... i can run a 2.3and change but no 2.2's like i want. i cut a pretty decent light though .015, .08, .07, etc.
i also ran a 14.703. i didnt think that was too bad, i know its got alot more in it though i just need to get first gear down pat.
nice car though. i ran at Norwlk Night under fire this weekend, what a fun night they had the jet truck 4 jet cars 6 funny cars ashley force beat john force. fireworks were the best i had seen all year long. just an all around great time.

Awsome 60 foot time! I had a best of 2.23x and also had the same problem with the 2 - 3 shift. I ran 9 times and missed 3rd 3 of them. I think i just need more time in the car. But if you keep getting off the line like that then you will have no problem getting 14.1 I bet. Your MPH is a little low at the 1/8 and the 1/4 mark though. How many miles are on the car?

first off, wrong section. This belongs in the drag section, just because it is a ss/tc, doesn't mean to put it in the technical 2.0 section.
You had a nice run, I'll bet deployment money that you would have broke 13's had you gotten that 2-3 shift right. You picked up 24mph in the back half and you cut a 2.1 60ft. Better luck next time. Practice that 2-3!

I can NLS 2 to 3 easily on the street all the time. I found in my Camaro that I'm a bit more nervous at the track, so that leads to some mistakes. Just practice. Good Job.

I ran mine a couple times out in pamona. The best thing to do is lower you tire psi to about 28-29 in the front, and as far as launch........Launch yourself, it works better to take off at about 37 maybe 36 hundred and ride the clutch for a moment. I know that sounds bad but its the only way to not spin the wheels. As far as shifting.....I noticed that the no lift is not that great from 1st to 2nd. I get the pop as well and a pretty big loss in boost. I switch it to comp mode after hitting 2nd. Then no lift the rest of the way. I ran a 13.789 with a trap of 106.4mph. Dont expect people to believe me because I dont have my slip but, I know what I can compete with...

Car was in comp mode, and yes I rode the clutch just enough to avoid wheel spin on the 2.1 60 ft.
Ran 14.35 4 times in a row but couldnt match that 60 again.
I used launch control with every run, and had very, very little spin, tire pressure was at 30 up front.
And yes, I LOVE Thompson Raceway, very intimate track, spectators are literally 30 yards from the trees.
For those that dont have issues with 2nd to 3rd, is your shift stiff and a bit of a struggle?
If not then I may have a problem.
Thanks to all, and I apologize for posting in the wrong forum.

well, this sc nut swinger is one that doesn't believe and will call BS. So you are trying to tell me that you ran a 13.7@106, which means you trapped higher than hahn's car with all the mods and tuning he has? BS. Not only that, but if you trapped 106, you should be 12's.
+1, I'll believe it when I see a lot of proof. Sorry man, it's just really hard to believe. If you prove us wrong, we will be very eager to apologize I'm sure. If you did it once, you can do it again or at least get close to it. At which point you should pick up the time slip at the end of the run.

13.97@104.5mph stock
so your telling me he hits 2mph higher runs a 13.7 and your saying he should it 12s you sir need to insert foot in your mouth. yes i dont believe his runs either but 12s is a stretch.. with the tc car to his 12s your going to need to get damn near 110.. with the launching and no lift shift you get quicker track numbers trapping slightly less speeds. (compared to normal 12 second cars)
