shifting when racing

shifting when racing

I have a 08 cobalt ss turbo, with zzp pipes and zzp intercooler, so when im racing what rpm should i shift threw gears? And should i use launch control or no?

i have a gms1 intake and catless DP, i dont use launch control because i spin too much. i do use NLS tho

and shift right around 6 right before redline

It very much depends upon your tune and where the power falls off. I'm shifting mine at 5750 after showing some more experienced drivers my dyno chats. More RPM doesn't make any more power above that on my car. Launch control is a waste. You'll have so much trouble making traction you can't just stick it against launch control and drop the clutch. Drive it yourself, you'll get better results.
