Alrite this race DID not happen but i'm wondering what the out come might have been.

i turned down this race to the fact that raceing on public streets scares the **** outta me....cops and i dont get along.

now he said he wanted to do a ROLL race...from 40 or 45mph
whit HIM in 3rd hear and ME in 2nd.

I personaly think i would have kicked his ass but ive never ran up agenst an STi...i think from a roll with my car set up how it is i would have won..

what do you all think?

He did say Roll race right? Cause IM sorry thats not a whole lot of mods on the STI. BOV could hurt more then it would help, and an intake and exaust isnt 20-40 whp adder. I think you would have busted his ass plain and simple.

dude all i had was cai and stage 2 and i was putting down 260 whp n raced n sti n beat him by like 3-4 cars n now i have added a 2.6" pulley n would rape him lol so im guessing u def would.

i know thats why i was suprised to hear he would go from a dig.

 

Another one of these damn threads. And a STi is much more than a "dig" car. All around track car is more like it.

You definately would have taken him. I'm really interested to see some dynos of these HP Tuners flashes from Intense racing because of how much everyone loves them. I have GM Stage 2 and that makes the car move, but I'm always on the prowl to find an edge over my buddies with SRT-4's and a WRX.

 

this is NOT an intence ECU or flash...this is a custom tune thats lightly based of the GM stage flash to compinsate for my small injecters.

 

you didnt beat him by 3-4 cars... unless he was handicaped and was driving with his left hand.... and shifted with his nub... i just traded in my cobalt ss/sc.. got me a new sti.. its way more than a dig car. im not going to defend and say the sti is the fastest car in the world. its not. my 93 rx-7 is! Its going to be a hard race... i see you have alot of mods...
i think ur hp tune is what might give you that edge, but still i think the sti would win. but i cant tell since i havent seen ur dyno.

also these sti threads are pointless. Ill race ya.. lol i just got my cobb stg2 and bov(which does nothing in hp but best sound ever)

 

i know that asking questions like this are some waht use-less but i just like to know what other think so i can figure out if its worth me going out and doing the race....

I think you would have pulled on him. They aren't that fast from a roll. Your clutch is your only holdback, so get that fixed and you can finally put down the power the car has. The only way to really tell is to try.

from the conditions, you prob have a chance. im gonna say you pull him until he hits 4th then he's gone with the high end (3" turboback)

only because ive been against one......the reason we hang is beacuse of that long ass 2nd gear we have, while were winding out our powerband they are shifting, but once he is in 4th its over
