you dont need to brake boost when you have a blower. have you dyno'd or been to the track. sorry your car is not running right either because of no tune. looks like it takes forever toget through gears

No dyno because I am putting all of my money right now for a turbo kit, and on our cars it makes a big difference, when I just sit in second and wait I am not making any boost, then I floor it and it starts to go. While I am brake boosting I am already sitting at just under 15psi man. BIG DIFFERENCE!!!!! Too bad you are so far away, I would brake boost vs. you not and i would hop man. Not talking mess or anything, just go and try it some night/day when you are bored.

and you just reiterated what I just said......because of exhaust leaks, and spraying alky on a stage 2 tune and running a 2.79 it could be much faster man, we all know, that is why these are so cool.

and fourth gear is a bitch with this setup.....it is soooooooo slow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yeah, those are some nice cars man, the ones I raced aren't as modded for sure but it doesn't make it less of a kill, seeing as you are modded more than I.

and the top was down on that lt1 which we all know makes a HUGE difference in wind drag. The lt1 I raced has more mods than that guy dude, your ls1 friend would beat mine senseless though, so before you go and bash a fellow cobalt man, think of all of the angles.....there will always be someone faster than you out there.

oh, and yeah, I understand the no traction thing, until I got my mounts, and drag radials, which I happen to be running in these videos, I too lose it all of first and second. And I have a friend coming down with a 2.6 pulley, 60's, and my 3.5 inch throttle body for me and when we finally tune my car WATCH OUT, more awesome vids to come.

13.8 at 102 isn't that fast, I ran, before my full exhaust, radials, alky and clutch I ran a 13.8 @ 105 down here at San Antonio Raceway

I hate to break this to you, but superchargers aren't load responsive like a turbo.

If you get better times brake boosting a supercharged car, it means your left leg is faster than your right.

You guys crack me up.

Honestly though, you have to realize what brake boosting actually does to understand why it would or wouldn't help.

On a roots blower, you build boost as fast as the throttle opens depending on your engine speed. With a turbo you have a spool time thats relative to engine airflow.

Basically in the OP's case he is capable of releasing the brake faster than he is cracking open the throttle plate. If you are racing the car from something other than a dead stop (roll racing) you should be in a lower gear with a relatively high engine speed. The second you open the throttle further the airflow is there.

Think about it for a good 20 seconds... then realize your "brake boosting" is doing nothing...

And do you actually know what double clutching is? or was it something cool that Toretto said in The fast and the curious.

Yeah, double clutching is when you clutch, shift to neutral, de-clutch, clutch again, then upshift.

Yeah, Absolutely no reason to do it in a modern transmission with syncros.
