TBE times...

Thought some of you guys would be interested in this since I guess I'm considered compitition.

I got my turbo-back exhaust installed and got a chance to take the car to the strip.

Best was 13.0@105mph. I have a timeslip in my car I'll scan up after it stops raining.

I very confident I can pull a 12.9 with this set up and some practice.....

Engine mods : Turbo-Back Exhaust, Cobb OTS STG2 (ecu reflash for those unfamilar with WRX's)

nice times. what's your 60' time. 105 is what I'm seeing with the cobalts stage2 also. But We won't see 13flat with our front wheel drive set up on stock tires. Sweet ride

hey thanks! 60' was 1.797....

My post on my forum was over shadowed by someone running a 13.7@98mph in a stock 06...

oh well...I'm very happy with the car. I plan on having it pro-tuned (dyno tuned using my Cobb EM) this summer. I cant wait to see the numbers I'm putting down and how much the tuner can safely squeeze out of it...

Are you getting the Pro-Tune done at TopSpeed in Atlanta? Those are some awsome times. Kinda makes me wish I got the WRX TR now. Supposedly with the pro-tune you could make 260+whp and 350+ ft lbs. on the stock turbo with just and TBE. Good luck with the WRX. I swear if someone totaled my ride in an accident, that's what I would buy.

You might want to show the before and after slips.

I think .8 is a lot to gain with your mods, and you also gained 5.5 MPH.

Either way great times.

I hope like hell when I get my AP and TBE that I go that much faster in my STi. If I gain half of what you did I'll be happy. If I gain what you did I'll be at 12.4 and 109 MPH.

Your car is now faster then a stock STI.

Well I probably didnt gain .8 with the mods. I've just become a better driver. I apparently could have done better then 13.8 stock like others have. Now I have TBE plus an OTS tune, supposedly around 50ft-lbs of torque the entire power curve and probably around 20-40hp varying through out the curve.

I've also but on a Kartboy Short shift since my stock run, I dunno how much gain that would have made.

I'd say about AS fast as an STI since I've seen some 12.9 times come in here and there stock.

Unfortunately I dont have a before timeslip, my brother had all the timeslips from that night and he threw them out thinking I didnt want it. I do however have the 13.0 slip hanging on my WRX shrine at home, I'll post it up this evening.

Actually I'm going to get Pro-Tuned at Agile Auto in MD. They are semi close to me and seem to have a very good rep. I might wait till I install a bigger turbo though since I've found a vf39 turbo and STI intercooler for around 500-600 bucks. That should push me up to the 280+ hp mark and tons of torque....

If your around this area I'd love to check out your SS. I havent really had to much of a chance to see one up close...

I have a blue WRX thats lowered with Prodrive sport springs (only 1.5 drop front and 1 drop rear to get rid of this things horrid height) and gold rota wheels (I dont race on the rotas because they are heavier then the stockers and I dont want to dish out a few grand for good looking racing wheels). I also have the TBE so its kinda loud.

If you see me flag me down or something.
