motor mouts... and actually take the time to feel where you clutch engages.. try to keep your foot somewhere in that range...

pretend theres an egg under the gas pedal when you go to take off. Lauch from ~2k and ease off the clutch (not slow but dont dump it) as you slowly give it more gas.

I usually tach to about 2K then ride the clutch a little to get rolling some. Once I'm moving I let go of the clutch and floor it. If the track is prepped good it sticks well enough for 2.2 60's I've seen a few 2.1's too. Thats on the stock tires. Ordering some 235/40 KDW's Friday gonna see just how much they help out

1st in my SS/NA was pretty useless until I got the mounts.

No wheel hop.

At all. But slipping the clutch is the best way to do it. Gotta get that feel for it, feather it just right...just mashing the gas will cause all kinds of spin and if you do that into second you are going to slip the dogpiss outta your clutch.

I dont have g85 and both of my tires spin in second. Just gotta learn to drive it man, its finnicky. The limited slip is more so you dont spin your inside tire when accelerating through corners.

I have that problem as well sometimes. Again that seems to be track prep related. If its a good prep, I can nail second with a little chirp. If the prep sucks its smoke show...

maybe 6psi or something in that ballpark. but all of the other advice will also help. a tune can't change EVERYTHING, ya know...

Honestly though, reading won't really help you that much. The only thing that can really help is lots of practice. Street launches are ok but launching at the track is way different, so I recommend a lot of track practice.

Yeah that could definitely make finding practice time hard... Hmm perhaps put some VHT on the road?

stangkilr used to just slip the clutch and faired well. he cut some nice 60's too as i remember

i usually dont even rev the car up, or dump it. i just give a little rev and slip it a little and go. although the my clutch doesnt really know what slip means

I dont know about you guys but I'm stock right now. Granite I just started drivin stick a few months ago I went to the track last weekend and launched about 2100 with a shitty 60 ft time...so I'm thinkin maybe a little higher, but 2nd was no worries I hooked right up. Moroso dresses the track up pretty nice
