Took my SS/SC to the track

I didn't break anything this time either.

Before I went I took out my passenger seat, back seat, spare tire, and my stock sub, and I put some 16" Cobalt LT wheels with Falken all season tires on them.

My mods are Injen CAI and Magnaflow muffler.

^Can you spot the other Cobalts? lol

I ran a new best time of 14.672 @ 95.36 MPH (My previous was 14.777@ 96.18 MPH)

I spun off the line a bit, but got no wheel hop at all.

nice times. get your 60' down to around 2.2 and you'll have a really good time for basically stock car.

Yeah, if I just had a little more traction I could've pulled off a 2.2

Those times are fine considering that a completely stock one will run a 14.8 I know I'm going to get a lot of crap from people saying that a stock one can run a 14.0 flat. No it can't. I don't care what you say, no it can't. As stated earlier, your times are fine.

Sure they can, with the right amount of traction. Most trap around 98-100mph stock depending on altitude, thats why I was wondering... his trap speed is way low.

You mean it's cabable of runing a 14.8? It would have to have like on ~180 whp to run a best of 14.8.

x2.

Not bad at all considering you're pretty close to stock. Once you open up the exhaust you'll see some gains, not to mention going stage 2 with a smaller pulley. That 2.3 is the main reason why you ran a 14.6. Shave off a tenth of the 60 ft and I see you running 14.4 which is pretty good for a mostly stock ss/sc.

why did you go through all the trouble of swapping another set of rims on just to run another set of shitty street tires? I would have at least got some cheap drag radials or something. Those 60 foot are terrible, thats whats killing ya. Probably good for a 14.30 pass if you can get it to 60 ft under 2.2.

put dr's on a stock ss/sc, the right driver, right altitude and temp... you can hit a 14.00 didnt someone do that... i swear i read about it... stock pulley ss/sc ran 13.8 or something crazy like that... i can swear to hell i seen it... however the conditions must be perfect. can anyone concur with me? i know i'm not making it up lol

It's not that much trouble, takes less than 10 minutes..I just wanted to try it and see how I would do with them. I know it's not that great of a time, but I don't have a whole lot of experience on the track and I'm pretty much stock still, not to mention that the track here isn't very good.

Yes it's possible with the right conditions.

I ran a few 14.2s without the airbox mod and no weight reduction so there!
