if the RSX-s knows how to drive he'll beat you. IHE and hondata puts them into the 13s with a good driver, suspension just means he'll be launching even harder.

well i'd hope he would win... $23-$24k car + $2k in mods should by all means beat a stock $20k car

that would be pretty miserable if he didnt win

there are plenty of cars that are more expensive than ours and a bunch slower. BMW's, MB's, and Saab's for example. Just because a car cost more doesn't mean it should or shouldn't win. the 45k Saab 9-3 convertable is a perfect example of this.

I was simply stating that the K series engine mods very well.

I beat my neighors 01 Billet Mustang gt in my 95 cavy (with 01 z24 2.4l motor swapped in) at the track 14.1 vs his 14.3. Nice kill.

but then youre comparing a cheap performance car to a luxury car. MOST people don't buy that saab for the 1/4 mile.

most people buy ss/sc's and rsx's, and Si's FOR the 1/4 mile

so comparing it the way i did is appropriate

I just think saying "that car should win, it cost more" is a cheap way out. If everyone wanted the cheapest car that they could make fast we'd all be driving CRX's with build K series engines.

So true...

Anyway, a comment and a question...

First, the guy in the Mustang just plain sucks at driving. There's no excuse for running 14.7 in a 99-04 GT, unless you're @ high elevation or something.

And the question... The streetfire description says you're stock. So, you ran a 14.4@99 stock after letting off the gas? If that's the case, obviously you didn't let off for long...

Not hardly. More like a fox body LX Mustang with a built small block Chevy in it.

Well, I thought maybe it was just high elevation, but if a stock SS/SC is running 14.4 after letting off the gas, the GT shouldn't be running 14.7's.
