Not bad Jess. Sounds like your tires are spent. Your trap speeds say 14s, mid to high 14s but still 14s. I will be gunning for ya 05redlinin. Gess you got a helmet, now I just need to get a 12 sec pass with me in mine.

just one of my tires is spent. im gonna practice my launches and i bet next time ill hit 14's. Although i may not be stock so ill have different goals who knows

Car is up on jack stands with the motor mounts curing in the oven.....Fuel rail is sitting on the bench while I try to figure out what wire goes where on the injector adaptors....and I am still trying to figure out how to tune for the 60s....

That is true i can go ***** to the walls most of the time on the street but the track is wayyy diff.

I ran a better 1/8 mile time than you with my car running like ass and on my 19"s (9.7 @ 74mph)

But im not gonna hate, I did terrible my first time too. Just work on it and you'll get it in time.

My car with a solid tune, and on the STOCK wheels, should easily be a 9.4/9.5 car in the 1/8.

These clutch glaze from mis driving very easily.

They will slip when glazed...drive it like it is meant to be driven and it won't be glazed anymore and grip well.

Post up some slips...till then...yeah right.


hot lapped plenty of time with the Cobalt and both GTOs where on the 2nd run clutch would not hold on the 1-2 shift. Let it col for a min and it would be fine. The clutches in these (Coblat SS/SC) are not that great. Most of the problem is not the clutch so much as material on the flywheel building up (glazing).
