Went to the Track Today

Well I went to the track for the first time. I went to Milan in MI. Ran about 7 times, wasn't too happy. I could NOT get any traction. Half the time, I wheelhopped so bad that I gave up. Tell me what you guys think.

My best:

r/t .749
60 ft 2.3449 (best of night)
1/8 9.419/78.00mph
1000 12.125/90.67 mph

1/4 14.3940 at 99.35 (best run of night)

r/t .6269
60 ft 2.8160
1/8 10.05/ 78.52 mph
1000 12.729/92.05 mph

14.965 / 101.12

what could i have done with a 2.34 60' and a 101 trap? thanks for the input guys

wow you're going ot have some sick times when you get your launch figured out. just gotta get them 60' times lower.

I dont have a Engals and i experience no wheel hop. I suggest getting some intense poly transaxle mounts. I have some I could sell you if you're interested.

I ran a 14.39 at the same track with a 2.3 60'ft. (See Sig). I am unsure how you you couldn't break that with GM Stage 2. I have just intake and exhaust..

Traction, he said he didn't have any. All the power in the world is useless if you can't put it to the ground, hence my stellar times.

Good times. Try some race gas next time and you will do better. With just stage 2 I got 14.13. With the 2.8 I should be in the 13s.

even if your times suck you should be trapping at least 102 with your mods. That's what I don't understand about your best run.

cant wait to run my car here in VA, I just drove my car around in 61 degree rain. But thats the coldest ive ever driven it in. And man she feels like a beast. I tried to see if my boost went up but i couldnt find enough road and i just spun lol. Gonna be a big difference from the 97 degree track runs...

of course this is getting me all paranoid like "my car is not operating efficiently, or, my mods aren't working"...but i don't want to conclude anything until I go again...I will be going again this Wednesday if it isn't raining...So we will see then

keep it up with the input though

42lb injectors and 2.8 pulley and a tune.

But it was in the AZ heat of about 105

Milan has shitty prep, **** blows up all the time in the staging area, blowing oil and coolant everywhere, and they don't clean it right.

Also the guys spraying water on the burnout box often miss and spray it EVERYWHERE.

Let me drive, i'll pull off a 13.5

Practice, practice, practice! See MrStaticX for times with a similar set-up.

How many times have you been to the track? It takes some learning. I don't powershift and I shift at about 7250 but when I was stock I shifted at 6400 rpm, just to avoid hitting the rev limiter.
