What do you all think ill run????
Sorry bro, 14.4 is a pipe dream, with drag radial maybe, but street tires no. Ive been to the track enough and seen plenty of cars run. You better do some MAJOR weight reduction to get into the mid 14s. I voted 14.8 to be optimistic for you. Hopefully you can drive. One more thing before i end my rant. A kid on a bicycle can beat an ss sc if the driver is retarded. Ive beaten them off the bottle, its not the car, its the driver. Me or any of my friends driving a STOCK Lsj would walk all over 180whp cobalt.

you are only really looking at about 120 or so pounds with taking out the interior so that is roughly a tenth,
you add driver improvement and take off another 2-3 tenths. it is possible. I have dropped half second from my times during a trip to the trap just trying to figure out the track
Add you power, 30hp? that could be 2 tenths..... roughly. I dropped 1-2 tenths with an 11hp gain and amazing track prep.
so you are looking at a best .6 gain on your time, IMO. and that is if the track can hold it. that is the big thing I think most everyone is missing.
Lastly you powerband is shifted pretty high. and your torque does fall flat on its face in the high rpms but. I think if you can cut a good 60' and do your best not to shift into 4th before crossing the line then a mid 14 isn't out of the question. However your mph isn't really there on your 15.4 time to get into the 14s with only 30 extra hp.

JUST got home from the track
and ill admit the first few runs were driver error, but the track prep was ****!!! even the ss/tc and ss/sc that were there were running shitty times...
but enough, cause ya'll are usually ruthless asshats anyway, so as much as i explain how it was...itll all end as "driver sux" "told ya so"
on to the runs
only got 4 runs in and am pissed at the track cause they closed early
only way i could launch (if you can call it that) was from an idle...anything more and i spun like mad. also, when shifting into second..no matter what i did, even feather clutch and gas i started to slip....track was ****
times:
run 1:15.728@94.04 w/ 2.829 60'
run 2:15.512@94.09 w/ 2.729 60'
run 3:15.288@94.22 w/ 2.535 60'
run 4:15.129@94.83 w/ 2.422 60'
i called osnosous (sp?) and while i was on the phone i launched from the side of the freeway and went to 100mph...and i could get a WAY better launch there then on the track...it was pathetic...UDDERLY PATHETIC!!!!!!
i will chock this one up to 1/4 driver error 3/4 track prep to ****
you are all right htough
i wont be running a 13 sec run, but i very much should be running a 14.8 or so if the track people did anythign but sit on their asses!!!!!
