pretty good trap for 400 dollars in mods...i trapped 107 with just my s2..i didnt have a really good 60"(2.289) if i bout some 16'' rims and drag radials i can prolly break into the 12's..but my goal was 14.2 with car

stage 2 cars around here don't even trap as high as I do, so you must be in some really nice conditions. like close to sea level and good temps. stage 2 cars around here have trouble breaking 100mph traps.

u were running on a rich ass stage 2 sea level tune and u are here in nebraska.... i told u thats whats making a huge difference.... my stage 2 was pegging my wideband at 10 and thats the lowest it goes

i can only imagine what u were getting for air 2 fuel coming from sea level to this level

i dont think it was his car i think it was urs lol

oh and just to help with that whole fact when jason and brad were both stock they were just about dead even... there are no way gonna be 2 "factory freaks" in the same place lol

sorry brad but ur car is quick as hell for what it is and whats done to it and i will defend ur times and everything but it is no factory freak by any means

ur car is underestimated by outsiders and u can drive pretty good

well, I don't ride around with the cutout open and I usually only open it at the track. I will open it to race someone again if I only lose by a car or so and I think I can get them with it open. but yes it's very noticeable, when it's open. when it's closed, it's a stock exhaust anyway.

I was up in SD this past friday, it's higher elevation, and trapped 80mph in the 1/8th 101mph in the 1/4. I think my top end still needs to be cooled some more, plus I'm pretty sure that a tune would help greatly.
Pretty nice. Those cooling mods really help out... you can dial in more timing with the boost you are currently running and pick up a good amount of power that way.

The 7500 rev limit scares me though. This thing isn't a Honda... there's no vtak to take advantage of up that high... it's only asking for trouble.

While it is true that the LSJ will keep making power till it hits the rev limiter there is a "limit" on how far you can take this.

The stock valves start to float at ~7200 so you aren't going to make any more power past that point. Guys on here have bumped their limiter from 7k to 7250 b/c the ECU cuts fuel 250 RPMs before redline in preparation for hitting the limiter. With it set at 7250 you can shift at 7000 dead on and still be at full power.

If you are going to continue to run that kind of limit you need to be considering an upgraded valvetrane and the neutral balance shafts. Otherwise, please drop that limit to 7250... your engine will thank you for it.

that was at thunder valley dragway, about 1600ft. elevation ad it was about 75-80 degrees that day. My car is bone stock motor, with just hptuners rev adjustment to 7500 and cobra heat exchanger and an exhaust cutout on the downpipe after the cat. Still on stock tune, stock wheels, stock tires, stock suspension, stock intake, stock pulley, stock injectors though. My personal goal with this car was to break 13's with it, but now that I have trapped at a speed like 80mph in the 1/8th and 101mph in the quarter, I have upped my goals. I am aiming for 106mph trap speed and low 13's on stock wheels and tires, I think with stickier tires, I.E. slicks or drag radials, I could break into the 12's. I ordered my water/meth kit yesterday along with a wideband. My and a bud are going to tune this thing and see what we can get out of her. I promise you that I was just as surprised as you but it only makes since that the cooler the intake charge, the more power this car is gonna make seeing as how the stock eaton just blows a lot of heat into the motor. I can tell you that there was a member on the board that was there too from sioux city and he has a stage 2 car with exhaust, he was only trapping 99 in the quarter and couldn't believe my car was trapping so much higher than his still on stock motor. there are a couple other board members on here that live around me too. all of them will tell you that my car is a pretty fast for the few mods I have and that I know what I'm doing with my car.

oh btw, I already proved the theory of power dropping off around stock redline when I bumped my rev limit, as my only mod, and gained 7mph in just the 1/8th, only 3mph in the quarter as it was heat soaking so badly, hence the cobra heat exchanger now. I have people pm'ing me from all over the midwest about how they can make their cars just as fast as mine with so little money. I'm supposed to have a few making the trip to nebraska to let me do some mods for them to their cars.
my predictions on his car is him trapping 103 after we tune it but the whole getting into the 12's or low 13's i dont think that will happen

i think at best he could do like a 13.8-9 at a little over 100 with the setup he has now

with 103 trap speeds and traction, that will be good for low 13's. But it's hard to get traction on the stock wheels and tires. We'll see what happens. If I don't run all that great with my trap speed, then I'll just work on traction mods at the beginning of next season. I'm pretty sure the car is capable of low 13's with traction. with a simple pulley and a new tune, it should do 12's with trap speeds just shy of 110.

the best drivers are cutting 1.8 60fts you won't see low 13's with that trap 135~13.6 at best

that's what I said. WITH traction. i.e. drag radials or slicks on some 16" lightweight wheels. with my stock wheels and tires, I'm probably upper mid 13's. I'll just have to wait and see next time I go back to the track. I might still run 14's at like 106! that would suck. all depends on track prep and me.

I'm still on stock tune, which isn't a good tune by any means.
