what rpm i best for launch?

i got the ss/tc and i wanna take it to the track and see how i do, it a 1/8 mile.

after i stage, what rpm hould i keep the balt revved to for the aunch W/O snapping my axle?

has this ever happened to anybody here?

it would be nice for serious no sarcastic responses XD

there is no real answer.

there are so many variables, and since theres very little ss/tc launch experience, its even tougher.

my experience with the ss/sc, is that a good standard rpm to try when you get to the track, is about 2200,
depending on the heat in the track, your low end torque, stickiness of your tires....
the optimum launch rpm can change anywhere from idle, to 3500.

its really something you have to feel out for yourself.

just dont drop the clutch, dont rev to high, and if you get even a HINT of wheelhop, abandon the run instantly.

you should get a quick bark off of your tires. as long as you do that you should be good. i always worry about missing second because first is really fast

its still something you'll have to feel out to get a good handle on though...

i launch at what ever the stall speed for my automagic is and feather till i get traction. (dosnt take long with my weak ass car)

i think u push come button on the dash by the cluster then u cold the clutch and floor the gas and it will hold the rpms at perfect launch rpm and u jusst dump the clutch when u wanna

LMFAO, so it magically knows the best RPM ZOMG!!!!

sorry man but that was some funny ish. the launch control is engaged by pressing the enabling competition mode and then it holds 5 grand ( i believe) while the clutch is depressed

agreed, i think thats the reason we are seeing vids of "professional" drivers running civic si times. im thinking its gonna need to be launched WAY lower and eased into boost.

you hit the traction control button twice to enable competitive driving mode, then you press the clutch and floor it and it goes to 5k and dump that ****:p thats what i did and sofar the axel didnt break(dealer car lol)
