Whats my time?

So just wondering what type of times I expect to hit when I go to the drag strip in some weeks. My mods are in my sig except now I have zzp 2.5 exhaust instead of gmpp. I will be getting some 16 inch wheels and some drag slicks or drag radials. Prefer slicks but I don't know much about tires so any help would be appreciated.

My car is an automatic and I plan on going the cheap way and doing the "football" mod also. I've been to the strip once and was only able to run twice in which both of the runs I did horrible cuz I couldn't get a good launch. My best time was 14.8 with like a 2.5' and a 92mph trap lol. At the time I ran that I wasn't on e85 or zzp exhaust and had my tune really turned down because I was getting massive knock from my old supercharger(bearings went bad or something. It got replaced with a new sc)

So anyways. What kinda times can I expect? I'm hoping to be able to get mid 13s but don't even know if that's a possibility.

I believe track is sea level or like 90ft above sea level. something like that

trap that low? lol I was thinking I could do 102 or something since a friend of mine that ran basically same time as me trapped 102. We had almost the same numbers throughout the whole thing then mine died up top cuz of the tune I had at that moment

but 13s is good though lol. ill be happy with 13s but even happier with mid 13s if they're possible

24.5x8.5x15. The original tire is only about 26" tall. Slicks also stretch.

Well I kinda bought 16" wheels so looking for one in that size lol. Or slicks too big in that size and I should get radials?

You should do better than that.

I did 13.88 at 100mph last year. 2.8 pulley on 93 oct. full exhaust...on a 2.2

Is the car being revved out? 6800 or 6900 shift points?

i think i got either 6900 or 7k rev limit.

im still discouraged on my car lol. so easy for lsjs to make power and mine is like ehh le gay automatic. i'd want to sell it and either get a lsj or lnf but i wouldn't be able to part with it. even do a 5speed swap on it but that'd prolly cost just as much as getting a lsj

Im on hoosier drag radials. 24.5" x 8 for my 16" rims iirc. They hook up well at 15ish psi and a decent burnout

You and adrian got me down lol. I'm gonna save money and just buy a tc haha

Think I found the tires I want. Hoosier dot drag radials. Not sure if 225 or 255 though? But yeah 225/50/16 sound good? And cheapest I found them was like 211 or so at summitracing. Any other place where I can get them?

I ran Mickey Thompson ET Street drag radials on the wheels you bought. They worked well.

Go with a 225 for width.

for 16"s you could run a 555r if you're gonna do more street driving with them. looking to pull a 2.0-1.9 for an average driver with these. they're designed more toward street traction and driving than track.

if you really want to hook up without running a slick then i'd stay away from those. 225/50/16 hoosier drag radial.

goodyear used to make a drag radial in a 16" i believe. you could also run a 17" wheel and the m/t bike slicks. i'd never run it but i guess some people had some good luck with it.

just shave the calipers and run a 15" with a real slick.

I don't want for street driving. Ill probably change them out on the car when I get to the strip and only use them then.

Are you saying to stay away from those hoosiers? Or from the 555r?

I'd do 15 but I already bought 16 wheels and I'm not too worried about drag racing right now. Only getting some cuz I wanna hit 13s lol
