The summer winter thing doesnt happen with the accessport. It will adjust to the denser air, you just have to make sure you have enough injecter left. And why would you need a bunch of gauges with cobb stage 2? I only have 3 little ones and i have an 18g in my wrx.

Too many IMO. I hate gauges being about the car in places not from the factory. I don't even like my factory boost gauge. I think I'm just wierd and don't like anything that changes the show room appearance of a car. Badges and all. I suffer through the performance changes because in order to get more performance you kind of have to, but I don't want anyone to look at my car and think "I wonder what he's got" until they're already a ways behind me. Weird, that describes me when it comes to my car.

And if I got a pro-tune I would want to know exactly what was going on. I think the Cobb OTS maps are generally safe enough that you don't need to monitor it and worry, but a pro-tune would give me pause. Something about it, it worry's me.

Well you have that completly backwards. If you run the off the self map you dont know what the hells going on because its not made specifically for your car. Look on nasioc there are tons of threads saying ran way to rich or way to lean. Not to mention you trusting something thats saying you running 22% idc. You get it protune you know exactly what you afr's are as well as powerband and they will not change due to weather. A protune is much safer then the ots map by far, ask any good tuner. Not to mention most ots stage 2 sti's dont put more then 275 whp with a powerband thats all over the place and most tunned ones are right around 300whp. Seriously you have less to worry about if anything.

I may have to reconsider my position on a Protune then.

Well i kind of made the cobb maps look bad and thats not really the case. The cobb ots maps arnt bad and 90% of the time everything is fine. Its just the protune with a good tuner will make it seem like you have a completly different beast. And having an 06 sti you could see like 50wtq over the ots map which i dont have to tell you, is sick. I dont want to talk you into something you dont feel comfortable with, its just somthing you should really look into because its worth it.

2.0 wrx's typically make around 170 whp. Leaner isnt always meaner on subaru's, svx's do a lot better when the mix is richer. Just my $.02

I have an 06 wrx... stock I had roughly 202whp/235wtq... I just went stage 2 this weekend and they rate it at 228whp/272tq... it makes a pretty nice difference... I love it!!

whp on AWD is like 27-30% loss from crank.

they put 230 to the crank, 27% of that is like 168...

my 04 WRX with the 2.0L engine did 215whp & 205wtq with intake, exhaust and tune.
