Ya have your good days , then glory bad one ...took it up the booty today

After the awesome runs a couple weeks ago and now a new exhaust that made the car feel stronger at ALL rpms . What a letdown today was . Drove 2 hours to US 41 dragway I normally go to , and at the last minute they decide not to open due to severe storms in Illinios . Figured the day wouldnt be a total loss , drove 2 hours home to race at the local track , it was opening day ....but I really dislike the track so I didnt care to go , but whatever . I did a great job at pleasing all the Cobalt SS naysayers . Track was greasy as oil , which I still coulda overcome and got something respectable MPH wise . But , my 22,000 mile old faithful clutch showed it age today . My car felt stronger than it ever has last night driving around town ....at the track though , Im pretty sure its starting to slip , its the only thing I can contribute to why it felt like complete booty pulling at the top of 2nd and all of 3rd . The weather was not nearly as good as 2 weeks ago , but not bad enuff to swipe 5-6 mph outa my car . Best MPH of the day was 97.1 , the other 2 were worse than that . I only got 3 passes because it started to rain , so I never figured out how to get the car off the grease starting line .

1st pass

60 - 2.504
594-9.428
1/8-10.045@72.93
1/4-15.200@96.79

2nd pass
60-2.414
594-9.130
1/8-9.726@75.50
1/4-14.867@96.55

3rd pass - let it cool a bit , still nothing
60-2.304
594-8.898
1/8-9.500@76.02
1/4-14.598@97.60

Stage 2+ and fidenza flywheel on the way , cant friggen wait

I feel ya man. I went to the track yesterday and thought I could have got better times than I did. I was hitting 98/99MPH which is a low 14 second 1/4mile and best i got was 14.6 dew to spin/wheel hop and horrid track conditions on my stock SS/SC. I feel I could hit a low 14 like 14.2 or so with good conditions and great set of tires.
