Damn that's rough, might be worth picking hptuners just so you don't have to deal this stuff again

Def don't buy it new if you only are going to use it for your car, look on ebay and hit up some of the corvette forums to see if someone is selling a hp cable.

For the software once you buy the cable you get a username and password to log into the hptuners site. Then you can download the newest version of the software from them. You just need the credits to unlock your ECU.

spoke to the dealer. service manager was like oh it appears there is a bulitine bout this transmission harness. could be a bad ground or chaffed wire. (in my head i was like THANKS I ALREADY KNEW THIS) he said the tech is pulling the trans pan and that the trans did NOT have to come out of the car. and he said if that harness is bad which were pretty sure it is than the harness can be put in around the pan.

so i will know in a hour hour half

UPDATE: so turns out that my trans does infact have to come out. work should be done friday

any of you guys have HPtuners and want to take a look at my tune?

gm said they replaced the harness and was like oh yeah it doesnt do the problem with reving slowly anymore.
i went there sunday to pick the car up and it did the same thing.

i called my tuner Tony as i stood in the parking lot and he goes oh i spoke to the tech friday afternoon and he wasnt sure if he was going to have enough time to finish friday and would have to pick up with things today.
so i left the car there called the dealer today and spoke to the service manager and he was saying how the tech was out driving the car. and that he finished up on friday. the manager was the one who was sayiing how the car didnt act up anymore ( i dont even know if he knows him self exactly what it was doing)

all i did sunday was start the car. let it idle. got in it revved it. put it in reverse, backed up a foot. put it in drive. let off the brake moved foward. than put it back into park and went to rev it, and slowly rpms raising is what it did..

and i explained to him exactly what the car was doing and that u dont have to physically drive it to experience the issue i was having. he was like ok illl call you in a hour hour half.

i just spoke to him half hour ago and he said they were on the phone with GM and gm was telling them to test different things and it has turned out to be a complicated problem.

SO if GM comes up with nothing than im going to have my tuner tony go to the dealership and have him put a stock tune on the car and see if it does the same thing.but what i dont understand is why after this harness was installed they wouldnt call me saying oh we tested the car and it did the same thing.
part of me wants to think they thought the car did something different. and didnt follow the steps i originally told them to do to see what the car was exactly doing.

which was take the car out of park and put into any other gear and than put it back into park and go to rev the car.

im just really confused because if this problem has occured SOMETHING has to be a fix because him and even the scumbags who did the sc install and tune said it was the harness inside. even the gm tech who replaced my pcm and bcm and engine harness said the same thing and that he has seen bone stock cobalts have this same problem...

UPDATE: just got off the phone with chevy, they got a load of info from GM tech support and they have to do voltage test's tomorrow and what is happening is there is voltage being sent to the fuse box and its going the wrong way and shouldnt be going to the fuse box and he said thats the reason why the tranny is acting up. so they have to pinpoint where the short is and stop the voltage from going to the fuse box

Not sure who on here tunes 2.2, I could pull it up and see what codes are off (still learning HPtuners and tuning so I wouldnt be the one to say if its great/good/bad/horrible) and see if I can find a stock 2.2 auto tune for the shift points/pressure/etc to compare

talked to dealer and they came up with nothing. ripped the car apart and said all wiring harness's connectors are fine and they said there 99% sure that this problem is in my tune
