How easy/expensive would this swap be?

I'm not a fan of wheel covers...plus I have a set of 17" Impala SS Chrome rims in my garage that would fit the 5-lug pattern, I believe.

Or I could at least get some rims...

 

Sell the rims and buy some aftermarkets. You would be ALOT better off.

Okay, so don't bother changing spindles/hubs to 5-lugs?

I think I'll just paint the covers, then.

 

What color are you planning....if you were contemplating 4-5 lug swap why not just buy aftermarkets. Painting the covers would probably look gross IMO

 

dont paint the covers, dont convert to 5 lug, if you do, youd have to get the whole rear assembly for the axle, the hubs, and the brakes, also the front youd need the control arms, the hubs, different axles because the splines are different, and youd have to figure out how to get that axle to fit in your transmission, or just swap cv joints... if you can.

just get aftermarket 4x100s theyre everywhere, the 5 lug pattern is actually harder to find nice rims for... because theyre not a standard 5 lug pattern, theyre 5x110 or something like that which sucks.

ive researched this extensively, because i wanted to go 4 lug, and after much reading, ive decided it is not worth it 1000 times over.

If you went black it would look like steelies. Try taking the covers off if you like the black look.

i have black rims... wheels and tires would probably run about $1000...

the steelies dont look good on a new car..

couldnt u get wheel adaptors for bigger backspacing drilled for 4 lug with 5 lugs on it...... shouldnt be too expensive, this way u could get it made to whatever lug pattern u wanted

 

ive always heard to stay away from adapters...
