5spd Swap On An Auto 2.2L
Has anybody ever attempted to do a auto to 5spd swap before. I looking to do it to our Cobalt and I don't ever know where to start sourcing information on it. So here I am with a general post to see what I can find out from fellow members.

ya but i got alot of money in our car now full custom bodykit and custom paint and id rather see if it can be done. there is to much work done to the car just to trade it and stat over. ill leave it auto before id even think of trading it.

not worth it. just keep your car auto. if you have too much custom parts for it already then just keep your car. it's only for show anyway so what does it matter? even honda's are hard work for this so i can only imagine how much harder it would be on a cobalt.

How did you do this? I would like to see a write up actually lol 600 seems kinda cheap to me

In your 08 Cobalt? You better show proof because a LOT of people aren't going to believe you!!!!

Maybe your first post should have been, "Hey I did it and have a pretty cheap way to do it. If you want to know how to do it I can make a write up for you." Regardless of if you've done it yourself for "cheap", It is a lot of work, putting the clutch in, rehousing for the shifter, considering the auto takes up more, you probably have to cover up a big gap going from auto to manual. I don't know the full process. My buddy did the swap for his 70 Duster, and he said it was a pain. The biggest thing is this guy wants it to look nice, so I don't know how well it will look doing it your way. Show us the pics.
