Auto-x is a classed and PAX'd event. He'd be ******* retarded to supercharge or turbocharge the car, COMPLETELY taking it out of any competitive standing what so ever. I don't know what you're trying to get at, but it's NOT the right solution for auto-x.

OP, you're better off experimenting with the car as is. I don't know about the 2.2s but gears really make NO difference in auto-x for the boosted SS's, we only shift first to second, there's no need for any other gear OR for different ratios.

My point was only that boosting will be cheaper than converting the trans... I don't know **** about categories of autocrossing or whatever but otherwise it would have been a completely valid point. If you cannot mod your car to autox then there's not much he can do like you say.
