There was something wrong with their first generation of cobalt clutches, so alot of members don't like them. Mine is fine though, and my local performance shop recommends them to their Cobalt clients. They have one in their personal car as well.

Go with the Stage 2+. I've heard it makes a difference.

Exedy Hypersingle FTW! After going through 3 different ClutchMasters clutches for them to get it right, I just went with the Exedy and never looked back!

Exedy > all.

The clutchmasters ones are junk. They did zero R&D, destroyed many customer's transaxles before finally admitting to incorrect engineering leading to complete refunds of previously purchased clutches.

Yes, the Exedy Hypersingle certainly does come with a flywheel.

Very true on the Clutchmasters comments too! I killed a tranny and shift linkage because of their clutches, and I had to do three different versions for them to get it right!

The redline forum was loaded with threads about trans failures due to their garbage clutches. Dan had one for a while and the car was nothing but a headache. After seeing what he went through I made a promise to make sure that everyone considering a new clutch hears my thoughts on the clutchmasters crap they sell.

That's exactly why I spread the word for Exedy. This is also why when it came time for my Integra's new clutch I bought a Competition Clutch instead of the ClutchMasters one. They have cost me and a lot of others too much time, money, and heartaches to even bother with them.

I'm interested as to how the new Centerforce DFX works. It's rated for 400ft/lb torque, the Exedy is rated at 357ft/lb torque
