Can't shift hard into 4th...

Hi everyone, I just picked up a 06 Redline comp package with 15k miles a couple of weeks ago, so far it's been a fun car. I've noticed though, that when I redline or go near redline in 3rd and slam it into 4th, 4th will not engage. It doesn't grind or anything, it just doesnt engage. At first I thought I was just mis-shifting, getting used to the car, but the other day I tried the 3-4 shift again and same thing, 4th not there. I wiggled it around and it was in between the forks, but not in gear. It goes into 4th fine during normal driving or even if I shift it hard from say 4,000 rpm. Any ideas on what this could be?

how fast are you going in 3rd? could it be the governor kicking in and engine just not letting it go anyfaster?
