So I jump into my car on the way home from work and notice that the clutch sensitivity is really really high. You only really have to move the clutch about 2cm until it catches. Now I jump into the car after getting changed to go out and I notice that I can press the clutch down really far but the gears are still catching. I am also unable to shift.

Any advice to some quick resets? I just don't want to have to tow it.

well either your linkage is messed or your clutch is gone. either way towing is probably in your future

 

Clutch is getting progressively worse. I had to drive home in 1st gear with my hazards on. Sad day for this Cobalt owner. Luckily it was purchased in October so I get roadside assistance and it's under warranty. Strange since there's only 5000km on it...

 

you have a hydralic failure, meaning the master or slave cylender is leaking past the piston inside and its not pushing the clutch in.

 

Ah, thank God it's not a flywheel or the clutch, since that would be quite the inconvenience (ordering the part, etc etc).

 

well since you slave cylinder is gone(most likely) your cluch may have gotten fluid on it, therefor ruining your clutch as well
