clutch gone at 30k!

hello, i am new to the forum so sorry if im reposting something.

i have an 07 supercharged SS and my clutch is shot at 30k miles, which is absurd. im not sure why it is i have a few mods such as:
cats removed
SLP loudmouth exhaust
CAI

i dont think that this should have that mutch affect on the clutch but please correct me if im wrong, i do drive pretty hard on the clutch with high shifts but didnt think that could cut the life of the clutch so bad.

So aside from that i need help with purchasing a new clutch im not sure if i should purchase the stock or if that will just eat it again, and if not what would be some good aftermarket clutch to look into

thank you for your time

This would be one of the best:

http://www.turbotechracing.com/produ...12&idcategory=

Otherwise the SPEC Stage 3+ would be very good also.

the gmpp is the cheapest best option. then again if you are going through clutches like that you may want to look into a triple disk...

I am not sure who makes a triple disk, but I am sure they would be about $2000 LOL. SPEC would make a twin disc, we have had them done before, for others.

learn to drive by feel. don't stare at your gauges when you drive, but rather look at the road ahead.

Slipping, even moderately, kills stock clutches.

Yup, listen to the engine and get a feel for it, dont worry about the gauges...

i would appreciate you no longer replying to any of my posts. i can not speak to you, so do not speak to me. for those who have some common sense, it was obviously a joke.

I let my 17 year old brother and his friend take turns driving my car around the other night.

I cringed when I heard them take off. It must have been a good 2000rpm or so street start from my house. haha

seriously though, adjust your seating position so you're sitting upright and not reaching for anything.

Don't sit too close, either.

I bought my car brand new in summer of 07 and that was the first manual car I ever drove.

Although riding dirtbikes my whole life taught me the whole clutch/gear thing...

well first of this isnt my car its my brothers so i cant tell u how good/bad he drives he might slip the clutch but i couldnt be the judge of this , from my knowledge he is a very well at driving a standard transmission hes been doing it for years and has never had this problem on any car so i highly doubt this would be the problem

every car is different don't forget.

Just because I kick ass at driving my supermoto doesn't necessarily mean that i am the man at driving my cobalt.

Food for thought.

mostly highway miles. drove from tx to cali three of four times. from cali to chicago once. now i drive 100 a day with work. he clutch pedal doesnt have much left to use, but it shifts fine.

sometimes after driving highway for a while, when i slow down and hit he clutch, the pedal is a lil stiff. not sure why. but, im sure the way I drive, itll last unill 200,000 miles which i project to happen in 2011. lol
