clutch pedal queston??

I'm trying to buy a 1999 3.8l 5 speed camaro. It has a hydraulic clutch in it. the clutch was replaced like 5000 miles ago. the clutch grabs in the right spot and i doesn't slip but the pedal doesn't have alot of tension behind it. like when you are lifting up on the pedal it doesn't push against you foot. i don't know if this is normal or not i just feel awkward. i realize this is ot a camaro forum but this is the only forum i belong to so any help would be appreciated!

could be a number of things. it might be a weak clutch, or just a cheap one. might be a worn clutch fork and pivot ball. i doubt its going to be hydraulics, pedal feel is generally a mechanical thing, providing the clutch grabs in the correct spot.

Is there any way that it could be air in the system?

if there is air in the system, or there is a faulty hydraulic component the clutch will grab very close to the floor, if your even able to get it in gear.

Makes sence I was looking online and there is clutch pedal return spring that looses tension and or falls out
