clutch peddle losing pressure under hard shifting

went for a cruise yesterday and noticed that under hard acceleration from 1st to 2nd when i press the clutch peddle it only returns about a quarter way back up and goes as hard as a rock.. after pumping the peddle 2-3 time it springs back into place. works fine under normal driving conditions only goes screwy during hard acceleration.. any ideas?? no noticeable leaks either. as far as i know its the stock clutch

Your TOB/Slave unit says its had enough. Time for a clutch job. Pick up the GMPP clutch kit upgrade for the LSJ from CrateEngineDepot. Comes with an upgraded clutch and the new design TOB (LNF) unit. Will run you about $300 but its money well spent, promise.

I have the same issue. Def the tob. If you do it on the cheap you can get a tob from rock auto for $50

Its well over $80 on rockauto and pretty sure Sachs is not OEM.

This isnt a part to cheap out on. Dude needs a GMPP upgade. Mays well only split it open once and do a whole clutch job in the extra 10 minutes it takes then just replace the tob and yank it apart again to do a clutch later. Im sure OP has at least 50k on it.

thanks for the info. i am definetly going to go the gmpp upgrade route. along with a fidenza flywheel at the same time. planning on putting a TVS on next spring so this would of been a def upgrade anyway. just gonna take it easy on the car and hope it lasts another two months the car goes into storage in october before the snow flys.

You can try, but make plans for when it doesnt. Mine made it a little less than 2 weeks (about 1600 miles) before the unit blew apart and rendered the car undrivable.
