Cruise Control

I have a 2006 LS and im trying to add cruise....
i have found several modules on the internet that are aftermarket....
They say after installing the modules, it needs to be turned on in the BCM,
but I cant even find a dealer willing to do it.
they dont want to tough anything with aftermarket parts.
I'm in South Texas, what options do I have for adding cruise?

thanks

sell your car and buy one with cruise control..... see how much it would be to have dealer do everything for you. see how much it would be for parts and labor through them. it might be more but that sounds like it is the easiest option right now.

The problem is that GM will NOT allow dealers to 'turn on' the cruise in the confuser (computer). No matter what dealer you call. CC needs to be installed at the factory only. No wonder GM is shutting down. They won't do any work for you even if you want to pay 'em.....

in the uk cruise control can be fitted to any z22se engined car and will work without visiting dealer

i fitted it to my vx vectra 2001 and my 2001 zafira all i needed was the cotrol stalk and clutch switch (being stick shift)

not sure if its any help to you but i was told i would have to visit dealer to have activated but after i fitted it i just tryied it and it worked

in uk z22se is drive by wire and cruise is preset on all uk z22se cars

i took my car to a dealer and asked them to retro fit cruise con on my vectra and the dealership said it couldnt be done
