I'd love to have a short throw shifter like that. Does hurst make this style for us? (both the stem and the ball)

i doubt you will find a shifter like that for our cars because we have the reverse lock out. it is cool though. I doubt it would pass inspection as well i know here in NJ not only do you need the shift pattern showing in the area of the shifter, but you also need the lock out. (im almost positive on that)

Yeah I know but I just wanted to know if they make it for any car. I just like the style not like I want it to look like a drag racer or something

You dont know if your car has reverse lockout or not?

2.2 and 2.4 do NOT have reverse lockout. I've installed a TWM shifter on my old 2.4 SS and the only thing you need to cut is a small amount of plastic from the shifter base.

OH ok I thought that was the reverse lock out i dunno lol sorry. But it has something cause it wont let me shift into reverse when im in 5th gear. yes i am a noob to manual transmissions. I was looking online and it says hurst is only for cobalt ss so i guess this means I can't get a hurst shifter?

how bout instead of starting a fight over what a reverse lock out is someone just show him....jesus christ people grow up a little...

dude the reverse lock out is a ring under the shift knob that you have to pull up in order to get it to shift into reverse...the F/I SS's have it but the 2.2 and 2.4 do not have it

/flaming

back to the OP...just get a short throw and put a knob like that on it...simple enough

I know the B&M will fit our cars and its pretty nice, I was wondering if the hurst STS for the SS/Redline will fit our cars? It looks sick as hell. Im not sure if it has reverse lockout or not but if it does, will just a simple remove of it make it fit our cars?
