I would try a dealer or go to rockauto.com and have them overnight one.

i forgot about the oddball axle setup gm uses with the 4t40/4t45 on the passenger side.

what likely happened is the stub shaft that goes into the diff came out with the axle. you need to clamp the stub shaft portion into a vise and use a hammer on the end of the axle cup to drive it apart. once apart put the stub shaft into the diff (transmission, then put the axle into that. the passenger side is a female spline and will go together the same way.

bump,
sorry to bring up a dead thread but im at this again.
awhile ago i bought 2 of these:
Buy ToughOne New CV Axle Shaft Assembly NCV10617 at Advance Auto Parts

problem is on the passenger side it is to short and pulls the lower boot off the axel. theres no grease left and pretty sure its about out.

i either need
Buy ToughOne CV Axle Shaft Assembly NCV10613 at Advance Auto Parts
or
Buy ToughOne CV Axle Shaft Assembly NCV10615 at Advance Auto Parts
trying to order parts now. have appointment for tires and alignment tuesday.
