GM threw in an LSD for free

So about a week ago i blew 2nd gear outta my car. As soon as i would put it in 2nd and let the clutch out it would grind. So i took it to the dealership and they said they would cover it under warranty if whatever inside the tranny that was broken was covered under warranty, fortunatley it was. But i never got around to asking them if it was possible to get me a tranny with an LSD. Well the other day I got the bright idea to smokem off n what do ya know 2 solid black strips for about 25 feet. My buddy John who works at the dealership i went to said that its all they could get so im not complainging. I got a $1000 LSD for free lol.

i hate you. but then again, my non LSD lays down two identical black strips as well. now, go take a turn a little faster than you normally owuld, and kinda get on it. if the inside tire lights up, you don't have it.

Was going to say the same thing. An open diff can absolutely still lay down two tire tracks. The tranny will have a sticker that says LSD and you'll be able to take a turn without one wheel spinning.

I don't think of it so much as spinning, I think of it more as sending up smoke signals to make sure the corner workers know where I am on track.

I've seen it different places, but I think it's supposed to be right on top.

Had as in own. It's not in the trans yet.

Long story, it was shipped quite half-assly. I had the impression it was insured. It wasn't. Now I have to get it repaired. THEN it can go in the trans. THEN I will have LSD.
