Help! Losing clutch pressure

My father is a mechanic and we are both very puzzzled. I have put in a brand new clutch and master cylinder in the past 6 months (by a trans place). However i randomly lose clutch pressure and cannot get the shifter into gear. once it has happened after 20 minutes of highway driving (without shifting) then as i get off the highway i have no pressure and have to pump up the clutch. and it happens in city driving sometimes. i also noticed my clutch goes very close to the floor within minutes of starting to drive. any input would help. i have not found a pattern to it. so i cant recreate it for the trans place.

So you didn't put in a new tob when you had your clutch changed

It's probably bad especially if its an oem lsj tob, you need the lnf tob. Did you check your brake fluid resivoir? Has it ever went low and you filled it up? Brakes and clutch share Same resivoir if it went too low maybe air got in the system and is caiusing your issues. just a suggestion but probably a bad tob

I know, but you still need a lnf tob, the lsj one was revised for a reason. I get cracked up everytime when I read gm's build book on the upgraded clutch and it says the tob doesn't need to be replaced and doesn't mention a break in period when upgrading to the gmpp clutch.

Just buy the LNF one, its the same throw out bearing but revised so its much better. Tell him its a revised LSJ if you have to.

Have you checked your slave cylinder? I have seen slaves with internal leaks that have that kinda problem. And a tob would cause a load noise when you push in the clutch if it was bad. Pressure loss happens when there is a leak or the linkage is not right.
