Hurst Knob

I have the hurst shifter in my '06 SS S/C. Unfortunatly I let my girlfriend driving it.... with all her rings on her fingers. And let's just say she scratched the shift knob to hell!!! . But I was thinking of replacing the knob with this one: . And I was looking to see what everyone thinks of it.

Thanks

I've always been a fan of pistol grip shift knobs, so i say go for it if it fits. I don't see how it would work with the reverse-lockout though, but i don't know much about that kinda stuff. Let us know how it goes!

I'm planning to "Fix" the reverse lockout feature

That is actually the T-handle not the pistol grip, although Hurst does offer both.

I had a t-handle B&M in my '87 IROC-Z and loved it, but that was an automatic rachet shifter. I don't like the idea of it in a standard. It restricts the way you have to manipulate the shifter. I often move my hand from the top to the side of my shifter and you could not do this with the T-handle.

been there done that I bought one & tried it you have to completely remove the collar and spring for the reverse lockout and there is not enough thread to use the locknut.

I would not try it from my expierence but you can do what u want. Mine is in the garage on a shelf collecting dust

i'd do a pistol grip or a t handle if the shifter was smaller, but its big anyways so i dunno. the t handle might be ok
