Can someone tell me if the Hurst short throw shifter advertised for 05-07 SS will work in my 09 without modifying?

the hurst works i installed one in my 09 but the way they made it sucks so dont buy it..to hold the shifter in place they use a retaining clipand it doesnt last long...within a few weeks my shifter was spinning around inside my car like a merry go round...

i have the B&M now which is the same company but they use two hex screws to hold the shifter in place and ive been running it for about two weeks now and its as tight as the day i installed it...it took a few hours getten use to how tight the gears were and where to put it but after that its awesome i wouldnt trade it for the world.

Thanks for that. I've looked at both models. I'll just go with the B&M because I can't abide a loose shift knob. Do you know if the Momo knobs work on them?

The TWM Performance SS/TC short shifter fits the 09 with no modifications and is shorter in height and throw than the B&M and Hurst shifters.

Our short shifter has received great reviews on the forum, and you can save $25 on it this month. Check it out: TWM Performance SS/TC short shifter

Here's a couple of reviews:

There are many more reviews on the forum as well if you search for TWM short shifter.

That TWM looks like a nice setup. I may have to give that one a shot. I like that it's even shorter in height and throw.

Thanks We designed it to have the shortest throw and height possible while still retaining the reverse lock. It's also available with 5 different upgraded stainless steel weighted shift knob finishes as well which have been quite popular with forum members who have ordered.

Thanks,

Kevin

not to knock anything anyone is doing but those other knobs they sell are another 100 bucks plus the shifter itself is 100 more than B&M and hurst of which i dont understand why but ok.... to each their own.

GET THE TWM. You don't need to upgrade the shift knob unless you want it to be weighted, because the aluminum one it comes with is very nice. MOMO shift knobs go for just as much money, btw.

I have the TWM and I am very pleased with it. If you can afford it, get the weighted knob. I tried the "Others" before TWM came out with theres and the TWM is the best by far.

I never had problems either. I just didn't like the way the shifter felt at all compared to even the stock SS/TC one. The TWM is worlds better then any of the other options. They really did their homework on this one!

I'm guessing because it's made from Titanium and not the usual stainless steel oir billet. Not sure if that justifies the price or not to be honest but it would raise it at least a bit.

Gold plated, and then covered up with a coating?

Maybe it is like the "pot of gold" candy

For the price the B&M is the best choice for your $ IMO

Hey Kevin can you please tell me if the Momo shift knobs work on this shifter? I really want this set up but I dont want to use the stainless knob it comes with. Also, are you still offering the $25 off now? And if I make a special request is it possible to save another few bucks if you dont send the shift knob? Thanks.
