Exclamation I can't get in gear anymore... broken link between the shifter and the clutch?

God damnit!! When I got back from the dragstrip, all the gears of my transmission could engage but I could feel that when I shifted, this began to feel weird, like if the shifter was more loose. FORTUNATELY, I was near my home and then my shifter got completely all loosen up! I couldn't engage any gear!!!!!!!! Does this mean that the linkage between the shifter and the clutch is broken or... a broken tranmission? Please help me!! The dealer is closed tomarrow because of the thanksgivin day and if this can be repaired at my home, I would really love to do it! I need help so much!! THANX for any help!

P.S.: I did 13.9 @ 102 mph, 2.26s for the 60'!! GM Stage 2, intake and torque dampener (A little hapyness there at least...)

Wow I just was able to see tonight that this is INDEED the roll pin!!! Thanx a lot BLAZIN07SS for the link!

Well I just bought the Wot Box so this will be certainly easier for the transmission when you "no-lift" shift, you are sure to never slip the clutch or whatever

Thanx so much Ralliartist! Your write up saved me from going to the dealership! However, two things. First, it doesnt matter lol but this took me way more than 30 min! How the **** were you able to do this so fastly? Secondly, at a "Home Depot" like store, the seller told me that the pin I had was 3/16" thick but when I placed it in the hole, the pin was all loose in the hole. I had to drill a little hole and to put a "lock" in there, so the pin could not escape from the hole or fall over. I will have to really verify the thickness of the pin, but does 3/16" thick, for you, make the pin slide tightly in the hole? Because that is not the case with me...

Because of that "loosiness" (not that much but still...), the shifter feels sloppier than when the car was new, and more than one day before the roll pin broke. It doesn't matter too much for now because I will probably never return to the dragstrip this year (winter time is approaching and the temperature begins to fall below 10 degrees C each day), but in a long term, this will be certainly boring, especially at the dragstrip.
